The Royal Livingstone, on the Zambian side of Victoria Falls brings a new level of luxury and sophistication to this world-famous region. This comfortable modern, well equipped hotel is an excellent base to see the waterfall and to enjoy the many activities on the river and around Victoria Falls.

The bedrooms are two-storey clusters inspired by the grand estate houses of a bygone era. Each cluster comprises ten en-suite air-conditioned rooms with private balconies and terraces that offer spectacular views of the great river and beyond.

The safari camp also serves excellent food, which includes champagne bush breakfasts and outdoor barbecues under the stars.

The Lower Zambezi National Park is set on a vast area of the floodplains of the half mile wide Zambezi River, an area with a wide range of beautiful trees including baobab, sausage and acacia. While parts of the floodplain are flat there are also hills and river valleys leading down to the Zambezi and on the edge of the plain is a shimmering escarpment.

The wildlife is prolific with excellent herds of elephant, large herds of buffalo sometimes numbering 300, around ten types of antelope and a range of other plains game including zebra and wildebeest. The camp's open-topped vehicles would also take you further afield and at night a spotlight is used to see nocturnal creatures such as civet, porcupine and leopard on the prowl.
