Safari Honeymoon in South Africa and Mauritius at Lion Sands, The Westcliff and Les Pavillions

Day 1

Depart at 1930 from London's Heathrow Airport on South African Airways flight SA235 to Johannesburg.

Days 2 to 4

Arrive at 0725 and connect with a scheduled flight to Skukuza where you will be met and taken by 4x4 vehicle to Lion Sands South Camp where you stay for three nights (fully inclusive of meals and activities).

South Africa has many of the top luxury safari camps in Africa. Your African safari honeymoon will provide both you and your spouse with some fantastic safari memories whilst on a honeymoon of a lifetime.

Lion Sands South Camp comprises 6 luxury thatched rooms, each tastefully decorated and en-suite. There is a private Guest Lounge (with Internet access and Satellite TV), Laundry, Room Service, Porterage, Swimming Pool, Sun Deck and Bar and Gym and Health Spa. The cuisine at South Camp is excellent and can be enjoyed in both the indoor and open-air (Boma) dining areas.

Game viewing at South Camp is in open-top safari landrovers and all vehicles are equipped with bucket-style seats as opposed to the standard bench style, providing more support and comfort to the guest. There are two favoured times for viewing game, either early in the morning or mid-afternoon, as this is when the bushveld is most active being it the cooler times of the day. You can also enjoy game viewing on foot.

Wildlife to be found around South Camp includes lion, leopard, elephant, rhino, buffalo, giraffe, cheetah, zebra, wild dog, hippopotamus and crocodile. These animals and plain game can be viewed through hides where you and your partner can feel the tranquillity and privacy whilst on your romantic safari.

During your stay you may wish to take a bush dinner when you are driven to either the dry river-bed venue, the river hide or under the African sky on an open plain. Lit by only paraffin lamps and a big open campfire make for one of the most spectacular experiences whilst at Lion Sands. Listen to the night sounds and enjoy a sumptuous meal cooked on the open-coals of the fire.

Day 5

After a marvellous safari it is time to head off to the beach, to a beautiful location in Mauritius.

During the afternoon you will be transferred back to the airport for a scheduled flight to Johannesburg. On arrival you will be met and taken by private road transfer to The Westcliff where you stay for one night (bed and breakfast).

The Westcliff, situated in the peaceful northern suburbs of Johannesburg is one of the most sought- after hotels in the city. The hotel has a wide range of amenities, including an intimate restaurant, convivial cocktail bar and lounge. Within the hotel grounds, there is a first-class tennis court, heated swimming pool, fully equipped gymnasium and health and beauty salon.

Making the most of its commanding position, all of the rooms and suites offer spectacular views over the city's northern suburbs. Elegantly decorated in individual style, they offer total privacy and every comfort for the discerning traveller, adding to the luxury of your Honeymoon.

With wealth built on gold, Johannesburg is lively, affluent and cosmopolitan, offering the visitor a tempting array of superb restaurants, elegant designer boutiques and bustling world class shopping centres, yet it is also fresh and breezy with golf courses, botanical gardens and well manicured parks dotted amongst its modern amenities.
