Malawi Safari

Malawi; one of the friendliest countries in Africa, a land of soaring mountains that surround one of Africa's great lakes, Lake Malawi.

The Nyika Plateau rises to over 8,000ft and can provide remarkable walking and horseback safaris. Lake Malawi itself has several exclusive beach hotels, some remotely set out on little islands, where you can enjoy fantastic snorkelling, diving, waterskiing and sailing. Malawi combines excellently with a safari in Zambia.

At the southern most tip of Lake Malawi are the Liwonde wetlands, bearing a slight resemblance to the Okavango Delta here you can enjoy boating, walks and game drives by open vehicle, seeing elephant, rhinoceros and antelope, and over 350 species of beautiful birds.

The best time to visit Malawi is from April to the end of October.

Why choose to combine your safari vacation with a few days in Malawi?

A week on the beautiful shores of Lake Malawi makes the perfect end to a central African safari. The dry season from April to October matches the best time for game viewing in neighbouring Zambia.
