Day 1
On arrival in Windhoek you will be met and assisted with the collection of your SUV type vehicle (Renault Duster or similar) before heading off for the short drive into Windhoek, Namibia’s capital. Enjoy the rest of the day at leisure to relax and settle into your new surrounds.

Day 2
Leaving Windhoek head south west to the incredible dunes of Sossusvlei. Take one of the amazing mountain passes to get there. Settle into your lodge and enjoy the afternoon in the Namib Desert.

Day 3
Awake pre-dawn to visit the dunes of Sossusvlei, being sure to catch the ever shifting patterns as the sun rises. Don’t miss the chance to visit Dead Vlei as well. These towering dunes are iconic symbols of Namibia, and for the really brave, why not try climbing “Big Daddy”?

Day 4
After breakfast head north to the Atlantic coast. We recommend a drive via the Moon landscape and fields of welwitschias en route. Enjoy the cool ocean breeze and the charming town of Swakopmund in the afternoon.

Day 5
Full day at leisure in Swakopmund. We highly recommend taking an optional living desert tour, or perhaps a cruise on the Walvis Bay lagoon, or a heart-stopping 4×4 excursion to Sandwich Harbour!

Day 6
Continue your northwards journey through the stone desert to Damaraland. Time permitting take a short detour to visit the seals of Cape Cross. Arrival at your lodge in the afternoon. Enjoy sundowners with views of this amazingly beautiful area.

Day 7
Spend a full day exploring the rugged beauty of Damaraland. Perhaps visit the rock art at Twyvelfontein or the nearby petrified forest or maybe head out in search of desert adapted elephants!

Day 8
Heading further north, travel to the Etosha National Park, one of Africa’s greatest game reserves. Spend the afternoon on safari in your own vehicle before returning to your restcamp at sunset. After sunset the action continues, as you can enjoy the evening around the camp’s waterhole and watch the animals come to you.

Day 9
Enjoy a full day exploring the southern area of the Etosha National Park. From this location you also have the chance to explore the western side of the park, that has only recently been opened to self-drive visitors.

Day 10
After an early breakfast head out through the Etosha National Park. Take in views of the famous salt pan as you travel through the heart of the park. These vast pans give you a true sense of the size of the park, and, especially in the dry season, show off the park’s harsh beauty at its finest.
In the late afternoon exit the park and check into your lodge for your overnight.

Day 11
Depart after breakfast to start your journey eastwards. Visit the curious Lake Otjikoto en route before the drive north to your lodge near Rundu, on the banks of the Kavango River. Entering the lodge suddenly the dust and sand of your experience so far gives way to verdant greens from the life-giving waters of the river, with views across to Angola.
Settle in and enjoy the rest of the day at the lodge, and perhaps take an optional sundowner cruise on the river – highly recommended!

Day 12
After breakfast continue your journey eastwards along the Caprivi Strip, a tiny slither of Namibia sandwiched between Angola to the north and Botswana to the south. Your destination is the Nkasa Lupala National Park, home to part of the Kwando-Linyanti river system, and extremely game rich area.
After checking in depart on an afternoon is at leisure, but we highly recommend you take an optional sunset cruise through the waterways for a great water based safari experience.

Day 14
After breakfast transfer back to your vehicle and continue to the town of Katima Mulilo where you will return your rental vehicle and board your private transfer through Botswana to the town of Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe.
Enjoy the rest of the afternoon at leisure to explore the town, and time permitting take a stroll down to visit the mighty Victoria Falls (just a short walk from your hotel)

Full day at leisure in Victoria Falls, often referred to as the adventure capital of Africa. Whether it is high adrenalin like bungee jumping or white water rafting, or something more sedate like river cruises and craft markets, there is something for everyone in Victoria Falls!

Morning at leisure for some last minute shopping or just relax in the hotel’s beautiful grounds before your transfer to the Victoria Falls Airport for your outbound flight.
