Easy Botswana

A great introduction to the wonders of Botswana, allowing guests to experience safaris on foot, in 4×4 safaris vehicle and on water by traditional Mokoro canoe in the Okavango Delta. There is even a visit to the majestic Victoria Falls to round the tour off!

Day 1
Arrival in Maun, the gateway to Botswana’s Okavango Delta region. Here you will be met and assisted to your onwards light aircraft flight to a private concession bordering the Moremi Game Reserve. Settle into your camp before heading out on your first afternoon safari.
Return to the camp for dinner and a well earned rest.
Overnight on a fully inclusive basis at Khwai Tented Camp

Day 2 and 3
Two full days at Khwai Tented Camp with twice daily safari activities included. These include morning, afternoon & night drives, walking safaris, mokoro (traditional canoe safaris – these are seasonal and only when the water level is high enough), as well a visits to a neighbouring village.
Being on a private concession means that the camp is able to offer both night drives and walking safaris, which are not permitted in the national park areas.

Day 4
After a morning safari and breakfast you will depart from Khwai and travel by helicopter to the the beautiful Linyanti region, and your camp, located on the banks of the Linyanti Marshes. Settle in to the camp before your afternoon safari activity, returning to camp for dinner.

Day 5
Enjoy the full day at Linyanti Bush Camp with a variety of activities on offer from morning and afternoon/night drives, walking safari, mokoro and boat excursions(seasonal and subject to water levels) as well as a scenic helicopter trip ( April to November).

Day 6
After one final safari and hearty breakfast you will be transferred to the airstrip for your light aircraft flight to the town of Kasane. Here you will be met for the short road transfer to Thorntree River Lodge in Zambia, on the banks of the Zambezi River. In the afternoon head out for a wonderful sundowner trip along the Zambezi River, truly one of Africa’s great waterways. Return to the lodge for dinner.

Day 7
A full day at Thorntree River Lodge with a variety of activities available – a must though is a visit to the mighty Victoria Falls, one of the great natural wonders of the world. Other activities include rhino tracking (US$10 park fee not included), village visit, canoe trips with picnic lunch, museum and market visits….or maybe just relax at the lodge with magnificent views out onto the African wilderness!

Day 8
After breakfast at the lodge you will be collected for your transfer to Livingstone Airport for your outbound flight.

Cape Town Add-on

Why not add a stay in the beautiful city of Cape Town. With daily non-stop flights from Cape Town to Maun it is easy to add “The Mother City” onto your Botswana adventure. You can start in Cape Town and end in Livingstone or reverse the above tour to start in Livingstone and end in Cape Town. (* flight schedules are currently suspended due to COVID-19, and are subject to the post-pandemic resumption of services)
