Day 1
Arrival in Cape Town where you will meet your private guide for the transfer to your hotel, located in the vibrant V&A Waterfront. Enjoy the rest of the day at leisure to settle in to your new surrounds.
Overnight on a bed and breakfast basis at the One&Only Cape Town 5* – Marina Harbour room

Days 2/3/4
Three full days to explore the beautiful city of Cape Town and surrounds, with 3 full day “You Decide” choices. These include fully guided, private day tours including: Cape Point – includes Cape Point and Cape of Good Hope, Chapman’s Peak, Seal Island, and the penguins of Boulder’s Beach; Cape Winelands – taking in the towns of Stellenbosch, Paarl and Franschhoek with wine tastings at award winning estates, cellar tour and chances to walk around these historic and beautiful towns; City and Robben Island – taking in a tour of the city of Cape Town, a trip up Table Mountain and a visit to Robben Island – both are subject to weather conditions; Whale Watching in Hermanus – includes a coastal drive to Hermanus, whale watching cruise and wine tasting at some of the southernmost vineyards in the country (this tour is only available only available July – October); Township Life – a fascinating view into the vibrant, colourful townships that surround the city, a glimpse of daily life and a chance to meet the people making a difference. Each tour is fully guided on a private basis, with all applicable entrance fees included.

Day 5
After breakfast you will be transferred to Cape Town airport for your flight to Johannesburg (not included) and onwards light aircraft (included) transfer to the malaria free Madikwe Game Reserve. On arrival you will be met by your lodge for the short transfer to your home for the next few nights. Settle in and enjoy lunch with a view out to the waterhole. In the mid-afternoon congregate for high tea before heading out on your first open vehicle safari in search of Africa’s big game. Stop at sunset for sundowners in the bush before continuing your safari after dark with the aid of powerful spotlights. Return to the lodge for dinner.

Days 6 and 7
Two full days at Jamala Madikwe, with twice daily safaris in open 4×4 vehicles. The reserve is home to a wide variety of animals, including Africa’s famed “Big Five”. The safaris are conducted by experienced guides with an intimate knowledge of the reserve, who will help you make the most of your days here. The timings of the safaris are at dawn and late afternoon, when the animals are generally at their most active and chances of sightings are at their best.

Day 8
After a final morning safari and breakfast at the lodge you will be transferred back to the airstrip for your light aircraft flight (included) to Johannesburg. On arrival in Johannesburg once you have collected your bags it is a short 100m walk to your hotel, for an afternoon of relaxation after your exciting safari experience.

Day 9
After breakfast make your way back to the airport terminal for your flight (not included) to Victoria Falls. Once you have cleared customs and immigration you will be met by your private driver for the short transfer into town. In the afternoon you will be collected for a private guided tour of the mighty Victoria Falls, one of the greatest natural wonders on earth, and in full flood (April/May) some 550,000,000 litres of water flow over Victoria Falls every minute! Return to the hotel for an evening at leisure.

Day 10
A full day at leisure to allow you to make the most of all the incredible activities available. Victoria Falls is often referred to as the adventure capital of Africa and there is definitely no shortage of activities on offer from mild to wild! In the late afternoon you will be met for your transfer to the banks of the Zambezi for your final evening in Africa. Head up to the signature deck on the luxury Zambezi Explorer boat as you glide along the Zambezi sipping sundowners while the sun slowly sinks.  Return to the hotel after your cruise for the rest of the evening at leisure.

Day 11
After breakfast you will take your private transfer to Victoria Falls Airport for your flight to Johannesburg (not included). On arrival in Johannesburg proceed 100 metres from the arrivals terminal to the luxury OR Tambo Intercontinental Hotel where you will have a room in which to relax until your outbound flight.
